Bio
The slides for Don Rudish's invited talk at HPCS2010 may be found here.
Don Rudish is a Member of Technical Staff in the Scalable Computing Research and Development group at Sandia National Laboratories where they investigate many aspects of high-performance computing and computing fundamentals, enabling the department to conduct an integrated research program that addresses research questions concerning the scalability, reliability, and security of current and future computer hardware and software. In recent work, Don has been involved in the creation of a large scale emulation system using virtual machines running on HPC platforms to emulate 10^6 scale systems. The project is aimed at creating a tool for gaining insight into the functionality of large networks and to provide a platform for testing the scalability of HPC software and will be the basis for this talk.
