Andrew McLellan

Bio

Andrew McLellan leads the computational epigenomics team at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, New York under the directorship of John Greally. In collaboration with the computational genomics team, they are developing software pipelines and a wiki-fronted laboratory information management system (LIMS) to automate the processes of integrating meta-data capture and preliminary data analysis for massively parallel sequencing (MPS) applications. These software pipelines process large data-sets using the power and parallel environment provided by their local Rocks cluster with SGE. Andrew obtained his PhD in clinical biochemistry from Cambridge University (UK) in 2001 and has since gained post-doctoral experience in the fields of molecular genetics and epigenetics. In 2008 he went on to obtain a Masters degree in software design and development at NUI Galway (Ireland).
